LTBF flag flies over veterans monument in Troy, MIJoe Malla Troy, Michigan. The Lest They be Forgotten flag now flies over the Veterans Monument in front of City Hall in Troy, Michigan. Pictured are late chairman, Jack Turner, USMC Master Gunnery Sgt., retired (holding the flag), and Joe Malla, US Navy "Seabee", officer (at the podium). They are pictured here at a Memorial Day, 2004 ceremony where they spoke about the significance of the Lest They be Forgotten flag and memorial project. Jack and Joe were part of a group that got the Veteran's monument constructed at the Troy city Hall where the Lest They Be Forgotten... flag now flies. Both have been very supportive of the Lest They Be Forgotten... project. Jack Turner was a Veteran of three wars -- WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He was very active in Veteran affairs in Oakland County, Michigan. Jack died not long after this photo was taken.
